		<description>Great speech-

I think Barack is one of the only people who can get me to sit down and listen for 30+ minutes.

At this point in the campaign, Barack had to make this speech. With all the terrible headlines he's been getting lately because of his pastor's comments Obama had no choice but to come out and reject what his pastor has been preaching. But I think this speech had an even greater impact-- Obama proved, to me at least, that through his years living on the Southside of Chicago and attending that chuch he gained a profound understanding of race relations in our country. Speciffically, I believe he, more than any other serious presidential candidate in history, truly understands the problems that face the black community.

I could pull out dozens of quotes from his speech to prove what I'm saying, but I think to feel the full impact of his words people need to watch for themselves. Just imagine if this guy becomes president- imagine if we elect a president who has actually done hands-on work in the black community and understands through personal experience the black culture. Perhaps, we can finally begin to erase the white elephant in the room.
